Building Future Dreams with the ASPIRE Programme! We had an inspiring time at our latest ASPIRE Talk, where students explored their ambitions, discovered new pathways through apprenticeships, and built confidence to take the next steps toward their goals. Through engaging discussion and a very interactive session, former student, Hannah Bullmore from Serco, allowed participants to reflect on their skills, values, and aspirations and left feeling motivated to shape their own futures! Watch out for our next ASPIRE activity in a couple of weeks time. #highamfutures #HLSChallengeAward #serco #alumni #aspiration #apprenticeships
We are delighted to be participating in Positive Noticing Day this year on 12th November 2025! We will be spending some time during the day thinking about the power of positive noticing. It is simple, practical, and highly effective. Being positively noticed by others builds self-esteem, supports behaviour and promotes good mental health. We will be encouraging pupils (and staff!) to positively notice one another. We encourage families to join in at home too. You can write positive notes for family members on luggage labels, post it notes or pieces of paper. We know that children who are positively noticed by their parents/carers are happier, healthier and more resilient and secure. You can find out more about positive noticing and Positive Noticing Day at https://www.positivenoticingday.com/homeadults
Earlier today our Headteacher, Head Students and the President of the Sixth Form Student Union attended the Remembrance Day service in Nuneaton. They proudly represented Higham Lane School and Sixth Form, laying a poppy wreath on behalf of all students and staff. We will remember them.
